In addition to providing a level of waterproofing, most of the coatings used today include the assistance of reflexive white with the ability to keep roof temperatures lower by reflecting away UV rays. While there are a lot of sealant options when waterproofing, there are a few conditions that need to be considered. Making sure you find a compatible sealant with the existing roof is a big determining factor when waterproofing.
 
Installation
Waterproofing your roof is a much faster process than replacing your roof. It requires almost no downtime to your home or business, allowing you to keep things running as normal as possible. While installation is quick, it needs to be done correctly for it to be effective. Your roof needs to be cleaned and scrubbed before applying the sealant, or membrane, of your choice. Any type of debris or dust will act as an irritant between your roof and your newly applied coating. This will cause the adhesion to be weak, or to not adhere at all. Once cleaned, you will cover your roof with your sealant and let if dry for 24 hours. Apply a second coat after the 24-hours.
